SEO in the age of AI search: data, llms.txt and answer-first

Classic SEO did not vanish, it expanded. How structured data, llms.txt and answer-first content decide visibility in search engines and in AI.

Classic SEO has not ended — it has grown a new layer. For both people and AI assistants to find you today, the site must be technically clean, machine-readable and written so a direct answer can be pulled from it. Here is what it actually rests on.

Structured data tells machines what you are

Schema.org markup (Organization, Article, FAQ, Service) tells the search engine and the model what is on the page without guessing from prose. It gets you into rich results and helps AI place you. It is the cheapest way to make a site more understandable.

llms.txt and rules for AI crawlers

An llms.txt file sums up what the company does and where the key pages are — readably for models. In robots.txt you also state clearly which AI crawlers may access the site. Without that the decision is made for you and some content may never be processed.

Answer-first content and internal links

Content where the answer comes first and pages link to each other reads far better for search engines and models alike. How exactly to write for AI citation is covered in how to get into ChatGPT and Perplexity answers.

Speed and the technical base

A slow site loses rankings and visitors. We handle load speed, indexability and mobile rendering on proven technologies. The full AEO/GEO package sits under AI optimisation.
